Fun in the Snow - and a Pink Guitar

Yesterday was a perfect day to play in the snow. It was warm which made some good packing snow. Izabella's friend helped her and Rachel with this lovely snowman.

We also made a large snow fort. Carson sat inside the fort during construction - he loved it. As cars passed the house they would all slow down and look as though they had never seen a family playing in the snow together. Izabella said "We're kinda like Barack Obama's family" We asked "Why is that?" and she said "Because they do things together just like us". I guess it's true what they say about Barack winning over the younger generation.

Trent recently purchased a guitar. After living 33 years without any musical talent (With the exception of several brief experiences with the autoharp at Christmas) it was time to learn a new art. After several weeks of daily practice I'm proud to annouce calouses on my finger tips - a true sign of a guitarist. About 1 week after my purchase Izabella spent $70 of her own money and bought this sweet guitar. It has a name and she loves it to death. "Smoke on the Water" is her specialty and she has learned to play several notes.
