Step 3: Find the oldest and nicest horse you can - ours was named "Sugar"
And we're off on our 2 hour adventure
Never Trust a horse named "Sugar". We followed 3 other horses up a very steep mountain surrounded by sharp cliffs. Well we decided to go from a trott to a gallop. The first 3 horses took off along the trail but old Sugar turned into "Suicidal Sue" and headed for the cliff. Izabella and Dad bailed out while it was still safe but Izabella got cut up and got the wind knocked out of her. Unfortunately Sugar did NOT jump off the cliff.
It took a little bit of coercing but Izabella got back on that horse and rode an hour back to the ranch. The trauma actually turned into the best thing for her - you can't put a price tag on attention. She was afraid the cuts would be gone before she could return to school but her prayers were answered and she still looked beat up enough for people to ask her about it. The story lasts about 5 minutes at this point!
